Frequently Asked Questions

  • Voting has not yet been scheduled. We are in the founding stage, building procedures, membership, and infrastructure. Future voting dates will be determined transparently and published on our website.

  • All official publications, including bylaws (not yet published), procedures, and updates, will be maintained in our GitHub repository. Documents there supersede any elsewhere.

  • The Commission is strictly neutral. To uphold our polling integrity, and to protect members susceptible to intimidation or political persecution, the Commission neither supports nor endorses any government nor political faction, group, or candidate. Our focus is entirely on fair, impartial, and democratic processes for the diaspora.

  • Neutrality will be embedded in future bylaws, and is core to our published Code of Conduct. Future operational guidelines will include rigorous, published protocols to preempt, mitigate, or resolve conflicts of interest.

  • Your safety and peace of mind is our priority. Membership and/or voter registration will be designed to be safe and secure. Details about data protection and anonymization will be included in future procedures and GitHub publications.

  • Membership is open to members of the global Iranian diaspora. Participants must agree to uphold the Commission’s Mission Statement, Code of Conduct, and policies.

  • The best way to get involved at this stage is to sign up as a member. If you are part of an Iranian Student Organization (ISO), introductions or connections to your ISO leaders are especially valuable.
